Why are Net Daily (TCE) values mismatched between the Voyage P&L and Analytics reports?

It is expected that the Voyage Manager P&L grid and the Analytics facet of IMOS (Report Designer, as well as the built-in reporting functionality) may not match. The reasoning for this is the different calculating and displaying of data for these two entities.

For example: Let’s say that a current snapshot was taken of a voyage in March 2020 and the user sets the “Show” value in the Voyage Manager P&L to MAR 2020. Let’s also say that the user builds a report in the Report designer and organizes the results to be grouped by month.

For the Voyage Manager, the data being displayed in the P&L is calculated with a cumulative approach (i.e., VoyageStart through selected MonthEnd. In the above example, the reported figures would be for VoyageStart through March2020End).

For the Analytics module and other built-in reports, these reported figures use a monthly breakdown calculation (i.e., selected MonthStart through selected MonthEnd. In the above example, the reported figures would be for March2020Start through March2020End).
