Connecting a Mailbox through the MS Client Credentials process
One way of connecting mailboxes on Shipfix is to use the MS credentials setup process.
Application is first created in Azure (see the document sent during the setup of your organization).
Creating an Application in Shipfix
Once created in Azure, the application must be registered on Shipfix to create the connection.
The option will be in the subcategory ‘MS clients credentials
’ inside the section ‘Workspace’ in your Settings.

Note: Only users with specific permissions (granted by us) will be able to make the entry in their settings to allow them to perform that operation. If no one in your organization has such permission, please contact us.
1- Open ‘MS Client Credentials’
2- Click on ‘Register new Client Credentials application’
3- Inside their relevant fields, enter the info of the application created in Azure

4- Click on ‘Create’
If the information provided are correct, the application will be created and the connection with your Azure application established.
Note: We recommend settings up several applications in Azure and then adding each one in Shipfix and then to spread the mailboxes across them to avoid reaching some quotas imposed by Microsoft.
Connecting Mailboxes:
Once the app is created, you can add mailboxes available in the Azure app by clicking on the ‘mail’ icon in the column ‘Actions’.
1- Enter the email address of the mailbox to connect

2- Select who is going to be the owner of the mailbox
Note: at this stage you only set who is the ‘owner’ of the mailbox, meaning the first person who will have access to it and so the person who is going to be responsible for sharing or not its access (See documentation: Managing users and mailboxes)
3- Repeat the process with every mailbox that you would need to connect
Updating the settings:
For security reasons, the information such as the secret key may need to be updated. To update them:
Click on the pencil icon in the ‘Actions’ column
Edit the relevant fields
Click on Save
If the information entered are valid, the connection will be established with Azure app. Any mailbox that was disconnected on Shipfix will reconnect and all the emails that arrived between the disconnection and the re-connection will be re-uploaded (as long as they haven’t been deleted in Exchange during the time of disconnection).
