Types of Timeseries Definitions
VV Values
The VV value of a generic vessel of a particular age and type. Generic vessels for each type are based on a standard size of that build year, built at a top-quality yard with a standard engine of that build year.

These are provided from the Baltic Exchange. Individual descriptions available here.
VV Period TC
1YR - This series represents trends in 1YR TC rates being achieved or likely to be achieved for a modern eco-vessel of the specified type.
3YR - This series represents trends in 3YR TC rates being achieved or likely to be achieved for a modern eco-vessel of the specified type.
5YR - This series represents trends in 5YR TC rates being achieved or likely to be achieved for a modern eco-vessel of the specified type.
VV Fleet
Fleet development, split by sector, type, and characteristic, and recorded in total capacity, total value, and ship count of live or on-order vessels or fleet additions and removals.
Value - The total value of vessels within a sector or type with a given status or characteristic, basis the VV value of those vessels at the specified date.
Count - The count of vessels within a sector or type with a given status or characteristic.
Capacity - The total capacity of vessels within a sector or type with a given status or characteristic, expressed in the primary unit of size for that sector (that is, DWT for bulkers, TEU for container)
Types of Fleet Data
Additions - This series represents Additions to the live fleet through the completion of newbuild orders, in count, total value, and total capacity.
Removals - This series represents Removals from the live fleet by the death of the vessel, in count, total value, and total capacity.
Live - This series represents the total live fleet in count, total value, and total capacity.
On Order - This series represents the total fleet on order in count, total value, and total capacity.
BWTS - This series represents the quantity of ballast water-fitted vessels in count, total value, and total capacity.
Scrubber - This series represents the quantity of scrubber-fitted vessels in count, total value, and total capacity.
VV Deals
Deals statistics for newbuild, secondhand, and demolition transactions, split by sector and type, recording total value of transactions, total capacity of ships transacted, and number of ships transacted.
Value - Series representing the monthly total value of transactions. The value of a transaction is the transaction price, if recorded, or the VV value of the vessel on the date of sale.
Count - Series representing the monthly count of transactions.
Capacity - This series represents the total capacity of transacted vessels each month, expressed in the primary unit of size for that sector or transaction type (that is, DWT for bulkers, TEU for container, LDT for demolition sales)
Types of Deals data
Demo - Deals statistics for demolition transactions, split by sector and type, recording total value of transactions, total capacity of ships transacted, and number of ships transacted.
Newbuild - Deals statistics for newbuild orders, split by sector and type, recording total value of transactions, total capacity of ships transacted, and number of ships transacted.
Secondhand - Deals statistics for secondhand orders, split by sector and type, recording total value of transactions, total capacity of ships transacted, and number of ships transacted.
VV OPEX
The operational expenditure, excluding survey costs of a vessel of the specified type, that would normally be expected to be payable by the operator for a vessel on time charters, such as maintenance and salaries, but excluding fuel costs and port fees.
VV Demo Price
The demolition rate by ship type and demolition region as supplied by Seasure shipbroking in USD per LT.
VV Index
Representative of the general market value trends of all vessels in the sector, expressed in USD per unit of size.
Bunker Price
Bunker prices for the main fuel types and top ports, in USD/MT. Data provided by Ship & Bunker.
Fuel Spread
The additional cost in USD/MT of VLSFO fuel in comparison to IFO380.
