Getting Started

Logging In

To login, visit https://app.vesselsvalue.com/login and enter the username and password sent to you by your Account Manager. If you have not received your login details, please contact us.

In addition to your username and password you will be required to enter a 6-digit authentication code. For security reasons, this will be generated via an authorized application on your device each time you login. Please see ‘Setting up two factor authentication’ for more information on how to do this.

Changing your password

Your password can be changed by selecting the person icon in the navigation Example of the account dropdown icon placement in the main navigation on the VesselsValue website and then ‘Account Settings.' If you forget your password you can set up a new one by clicking ‘Forgot Password’ at www.vesselsvalue.com/login. You will then be sent email instructions to follow

Your dashboard

Once logged into VV you will be taken to your personalized dashboard. Here you will see your subscribed services, recent searches, portfolios, your free monthly Market Report and notifications from VV.

Search for a vessel, fleet, or owner

Use the search bar in the top left hand of the website to search for a specific ship by vessel name, IMO, or ex name. You can also search for companies, registered owners, builders, ports, or your own portfolios.

Creating a portfolio

You can create your own portfolios by selecting the person icon in the navigation Example of the account dropdown icon placement in the main navigation on the VesselsValue website and then portfolios. Simply create your own portfolio and add up to 500 vessels per portfolio. Add vessels to your portfolios directly from the vessel page or using the search bar when on the portfolio page.

Fleet Database subscribers can add vessels directly from search results by selecting the vessels required then selecting the option Add to portfolio. Alternatively, you can upload a list of IMOs from excel into fleet search under the tab Vessel -> IMO then select all using the tick boxes and Add to portfolio.

You can also save notes and documents, these can be both private or shared within your company account.

My VV

The person icon tab on the main navigation bar Example of the account dropdown icon placement in the main navigation on the VesselsValue website gives you quick access to your notes, portfolios, saved searches and custom DCF value assumptions, Value and Mapping alerts, certificates, credit usage, and your previous valuations. What you can see will depend on the modules you subscribe to.

You can also change your details, password and see your current package details under Account Settings.

Market Valuation Certificates

Download Market Valuation Certificates by clicking on the Market Valuation Certificate link on any vessel, company or My VV page at any time, these can be purchased using credits (see below on how to buy credits). Single vessel, company, portfolio, DCF and Forecast Market Value certificates are available.

VV also offers bespoke valuations or bespoke data driven reports. To find out more please contact your Account Manager.

How to buy credits

If you would like to value a vessel that is not included in your subscription, you can purchase credits to buy one off values for other vessel types or valuation certificates, you can do this by buying credits. You can find out more on how to buy credits by clicking here.

Wherever you see an image-20240605-145134.png icon you can click to find out further information on the data or information displayed. These have been included to give you further explanation, however if you are still unclear about anything please contact your Account Manager.

Appy

You can get ship, company values and specifications sent straight to your inbox with our email API feed. To receive this, send an email to appy@vesselsvalue.com with the name of a vessel, company or IMO in the subject line.

To get started, send “how to use” in the subject line to appy@vesselsvalue.com.

Please note, you must send the email from the email address associated with your account.
