VMS - Unfixed Legs
This article provides a step-by-step process on the Unfixed Legs functionality within the voyage screen.

The unfixed legs feature is used when the last voyage is not fixed, when picking up bunkers, or when you want to use the vessel to carry out another operation in the meantime. This feature is under the three-bar menu on the voyage screen. When an unfixed leg is added to a voyage, its weather delay percentage is initialized from the voyage’s weather delay percentage. So, if the voyage has a 5% weather delay, the unfixed leg and its containing voyage gets a 5% delay.
After an unfixed voyage’s weather delay percentage has been initialized, it is totally independent from the main voyage’s weather delay percent. Either one can be changed without affecting the other. Of course weather day data still flows from the last leg of the main voyage to the first leg of the unfixed voyage, just as it does now.
This functionality does not affect the TC of the current voyage, and you can use it in order to send the vessel to a destination until she receives orders.

The unfixed leg screen will appear, where we can enter the leg information while the vessel waits for orders.

Once we populate the necessary fields and then close the unfixed leg screen. The voyage page will display a new field called Unfixed Legs

When a new estimate is created for the same vessel with an unfixed leg, the start port will display the unfixed leg from the previous voyage. In this example, it is Piraeus-Augusta.

Once the estimate is fixed and a new voyage is created, the unfixed leg will disappear from the previous voyage.

The unfixed leg will now appear as a start port.
