How can I automatically generate Vessel Code upon vessel creation?

You may want to enable the system to automatically generate a Vessel Code upon new vessel creation. You can do so by entering a custom expression as the value of configuration flag CFGAutoVesselCode.

To set it up with a running alphabetical and numerical order, enter [A-Z] for letters and [0-9] for numbers.

In the example below, newly created Vessel Codes will start with A000 and end with Z999.

You can also set a letter or number in the Vessel Code that will remain fixed. For example, Z9[0-9][0-9] will generate Vessel Codes between Z900 and Z999.
