Why are the miles between ports incorrect?

The issue is due to the incorrect miles entered within the Observed Distance column in the Activity Report of the previous port. Once you correct the observed distance for the previous port you will view the correct distance.

Generally, the voyage itinerary should reflect a distance between voyage legs similar to that seen in Distances.

As Veslink forms get approved, values in the Observed Distance field will update the Obs Dst Column in Activity Report accordingly. The Observed Distance field is found in Noon Reports and Arrival Notice.

Consequently, Miles column under the Itinerary grid will be updated with total distance travelled for that leg until the vessel arrives in the next port.

When the miles in between ports appear incorrect, it is due to missing/wrong observed distance input into activity reports. Once the actual observed distances are filled in correctly, the miles between ports will be corrected.
