Overview
You can now control which tag sections appear, and in what order, across both the Tag menu and the tag section of the email side panel. This lets you tailor the tag experience to how you actually work, for example, hiding a section you never use or promoting your most-used tags to the top.
What you can configure
In the Tags settings, you'll find two toggles and a reorder option:
|
Setting |
What it does |
|---|---|
|
Favorite tags |
Toggle on/off. When turned off, favorite tags are hidden from both the Tag menu and the tag section of the email side panel. |
|
Most Recently Used |
Toggle on/off. When turned off, recently used tags are hidden from both the Tag menu and tag section of the email side panel. |
|
Section order |
Drag to reorder the two sections above. Whichever is listed first will display first in both the Tag menu and the side panel. |
Collapsing sections in the side panel
Independent of the settings above, each section in the tag section of the email side panel.side panel can be expanded or collapsed individually by clicking its header.
Your expand/collapse state is remembered automatically, so the side panel will look the same the next time you open it.

-
Go to Tag menu and side panel preferences.

FAQ
Does this affect the tags themselves? No. These settings only control visibility and ordering of the sections; your tags, favorites, and usage history are unchanged.
Is the collapse/expand state per-section or global? Per-section. Each section in the side panel remembers its own collapsed or expanded state.
