Tag types explained
The platform has a variety of Tag types to choose from to better organise your daily work.
By default the system has up to 9 Tag categories:
People | Everyone in your organisation has a Tag with their name. Users can directly link people to any email with a Tag. The recipient doesn't have to have access to the inbox in which the email was originally received, they can see it anyway by filtering tags with their name, including any Team tags that they're included in - No need to endlessly forward emails! All People within your organisation that use Shipfix will automatically have a Tag already created. |
Jobs | Create a tag for your Jobs Board. Users can create an infinite number of Job tags specific to their requirements. Users define the status of the 'Job' to: Pre-Fixture, Post-Fixture or Archived and Link any Ship(s) or Company(ies) to a given Job. User's can then, for example, assign the 'Operation' Teams to a given email for the Post-Fixture or Archived stages whilst still remaining abreast of the ongoing exchanges. |
Ships | Every ship has a Tag. Users can tag a ship to any email. This means that the Ship itself, and it's description, live AIS, historical AIS, all related emails, and any comments or documents added to that vessel can be linked to any email and or chat/collaboration room. All Ships on the water automatically have a Tag already created. |
Ports | every port has a dedicated Tag. |
Companies | every company has a Tag. Users can tag a Company to any email. All Companies that your business has interacted with will automatically have a Tag already created |
Shared | anyone can create a shared/custom tag based on what they need. Users can create any shared/custom tags that they need and assign them to any email. This means that they can remove any legacy manual foldering processes with shared/custom Tags and provide access to any/all relevant teams. |
Private | each user can create a Private tag, visible only to them. |
Folders | for when Shipfix mirrors your current folders. You can create new folders as well |
Teams | Users can create an infinite number of Teams for group of people to collaborate with and include/notify of messages. All 'People' assigned to that team will be notified of the tag you've assigned, and these emails will appear when they filter email tags by their name. Again, they don't need to have access to the inbox in which the email was originally received - No need to endlessly forward emails. |
Tip: Each email can have multiple Tags and exist in multiple folders or Tag screens, which makes it much more flexible from the traditional Foldering.
