Voyage Review Workflow in VMS

No Locking Mechanism: VMS intentionally does not lock voyages after completion to allow users flexibility in making necessary changes. Instead of locking a voyage in the Staging page, clients can mark a voyage as "Reviewed".

"Reviewed" Status:

Users can mark a voyage as Reviewed on the Staging page.

If any data in the voyage is modified afterward, the status automatically reverts to Not Reviewed.

Change Tracking & Alerts:

Clients can create custom reports to track changes to Reviewed voyages.

These reports can be set to Alert mode and emailed automatically to individuals or groups.

Reports can include who made the change and what was changed.

Using the "Reviewed" status on the Staging page provides all the benefits of locking a voyage—such as marking it as complete and tracking changes—without restricting users from making further edits.
