IMOS - Vessel Types

Vessel Types terms are used on the Vessel, Tow, Boat, Barge, COA, and Cargo forms.

On the Data Center menu … > under Vessels > click Vessel Types.

  • You can specify up to six Fuel/Lube Types and their Units per Vessel Type. All specified Fuel Types will be added to new vessels of this Vessel Type.

  • You can specify the Fuel Zone Set for each Vessel Type.

  • For Trading, each Vessel Type must have a Basis Route defined.

  • To select a Benchmark Vsl, a route preference must first be defined on the Vessel Routes tab.

  • By checking Restrict Speeds, you will be able to restrict the speed selection in Estimate/Fixture/Voyage Manager to only those specified in the Speed Consumption Table on the Vessel form.
