IMOS - Itinerary/Options or Pricing Tab - Cargo COA
Home > Chartering > Itinerary/Options or Pricing Tab - Cargo COA
To define pricing for a COA:
If your contract is simple, use the Itinerary/Options tab to define your itinerary and pricing; do not use the Pricing tab.
For flexibility in creating an itinerary for complex contracts, use the Pricing tab.
Itinerary/Options Tab
Load Options and Discharge Options grids: Each potential load and discharge port and the terms that apply to the port.
When you add a Port to an Options grid, the Berth defaults to Quay.
When you select a Port and Berth combination in the Itinerary that matches a Load or Discharge Option line, that information automatically populates. You can change the ports and/or terms on the Cargo form; manually overwritten values appear as blue text.
To open the Port form, for example to update berth details, right-click a Port or Port/Area row and then click Port.
Note: The suggested workflow is to update Load/Discharge options before fixing/commencing the voyage to adjust pricing.
Pricing Tab
This tab is similar to the Cargo Pricing tab.
Pricing Grid
To adjust pricing, do any of the following:
Add one row for each possible combination of Load Port(s), Discharge Port(s), and Cargo. Multiple load and discharge ports can be manually entered per row; the order of the ports is relevant to picking the correct row.
To use Advanced Pricing to create configurable rules for pricing contracts, select the Advanced check box.
To enable Top-off, select a type of top-off:
Regular: Cargo loaded at multiple ports with varied rates, offloaded at one discharge port
Reverse: Cargo loaded at one port, discharged at multiple ports
Note: The Veson IMOS Platform does not support Top-off or Reverse Top-off in connection with Interservice Cargoes.
To enter a VAT No. and VAT % specific to a row, right-click the row and then click VAT; otherwise, the default entered above is used.
In the Freight Type (Frt Type) column, select Flat Rate, Lumpsum, Daily Rate, or one of the following:
Index Table: Uses an Index Table to price your freight based on Index values. The index table is not an available option for the freight type if configuration flag CFGEnableGeneralUnpricedComponent is enabled.
Scale Table: Uses a Scale (Rate) Table, defined in the Data Center; select the table in the Table column.
Worldscale: Uses Worldscale; WSC% is in the Amount column; the WSC Flat rate is determined per Cargo, according to its itinerary.
To specify CP Quantity and CP Draft by port and vessel to calculate deadfreight, click .
To automatically add pricing rows based on Load/Discharge Options, click . Pricing rows are populated for any unique pair of Load and Discharge options that do not already exist in the Pricing grid. If only one Cargo is selected in the Pricing grid, the same Cargo automatically populates for each new line that is generated.
For more information, see How are pricing terms selected?
Brokers Grid
The Brokers grid enables you to add information about brokers and broker commissions.
Depending on the commission Amount, Type defaults to:
%, when the Amount is 25 or less
Lumpsum, when the Amount is greater than 25
Extra Freight Terms Grid
You can assign Extra Freight Terms to either the contract or a specific pricing row.
Do one of the following:
For the contract, add a row to the Extra Freight Terms grid.
For a pricing row, in the Xfrt column, select the check box.
Add a row for each term, select a Code and then enter a Rate/Lump amount.
