VMS - Grades

This guide demonstrates where to add the CP grades and how to edit the bill of lading for a voyage.

From the voyage screen, click on Fixture to view and change the fixture details. At the top of the screen are two options: CP and Grades.

CP will allow us to view and change the main terms and set demurrage and fixture remarks. Grades will allow us to select each grade and populate the bills of lading information.

Depending on the CP Quantity on the voyage screen/fixture CP screen, the bills of lading can be populated to calculate the Deadfreight or Overage.

In the above example, we have a CP Quantity of 40,000 MT.

Note: To view Deadfreight, you have to select the checkbox above.

The system will automatically display Overage or Deadfreight depending on the BL MT quantity. Since the CP Quantity is 40,00 MT and the BL Quantity is 45,000. The system displays 5,000 MT in the Overage field.

Note: Overage is effective only when you have a scenario with WorldScale (WS)

On the other hand, if the B/L quantity is 35,000 MT, then we will have a Deadfreight of 5,000 MT. In the Revenue field, a new line will be created for the Deadfreight automatically.
