Why are notifications not appearing when someone tags or mentions a user?
Issue: A user has been tagged in an email or mentioned in a comment, but nothing appears in the Recents panel — the mention is only visible when manually navigating to the Comments view.
Likely cause: This is usually related to a notification setting called "Mark as read". If this is set to "when the notification panel is open", any notifications visible while the panel was open will be automatically marked as read and may no longer appear as new alerts, causing mentions to go unnoticed.
How to fix it: Check the notification settings and review how "Mark as read" is configured. Changing this to “when notification is clicked” should ensure that @mentions and tags consistently appear in the Recents panel.
