Veslink - Creating Voyage Instructions

Veslink standardizes voyage communications to help you collect and analyze current positions and other critical voyage data and share information with a network of trusted partners.

Note: Veslink Voyage Instructions forms require IMOS v7.9.1410.1, cannot be added to a Form Group, cannot be sent from Veslink, and do not appear on the Dashboard Voyage Activity list.

Using the Voyage Instructions Report Type, you can create a Voyage Instructions template in the Form Designer, link the template to a voyage in IMOS, and send the Voyage Instructions form to your vessels, agents, or any counterparty you choose. When designing a Voyage Instructions form template, you can reference IMOS database fields so that voyage data is automatically populated when the form is generated.

1. In Veslink, create a new form of Report Type Voyage Instructions. 
   • To add a Revision History table to the bottom of submitted Voyage Instructions forms, select Enable Revision History. This table shows changes between the two most recent form revisions.
     

     

   • To take a snapshot of the voyage P&L when a Voyage Instructions form is submitted, select Take P&L Snapshot Upon Submission (with configuration flag CFGEnableVIFormPnlSnapshots enabled in IMOS v7.11.3468 or later).
2. In IMOS:
   1. Set up voyage instructions from the Voyage Template List.
   2. To send voyage instructions, on the Voyage Manager Instructions Tab, create a New VI/Revision.
