Why do I have idle days in my TCO estimate?

The "Idle" column indicates the number of days a vessel remains in port without engaging in any port activity.

Please note that, depending on how the itinerary and supporting data have been entered, idle days may appear at the port immediately before the TCO redelivery port. This is done to ensure that the total voyage duration—from TCO delivery to TCO redelivery—matches the planned TCO duration.

If idle days are shown in the itinerary, it's because the specified TCO duration exceeds the total number of non-idle days on the itinerary. In such cases, the system inserts idle time to preserve the manually defined TCO length.

If you prefer the TCO duration to be calculated automatically based on the itinerary alone (without idle day adjustments), you can enable the "Trip TC" option in the estimate properties.
