By default, IMOS sets the Laycan To date field with a time of 00:00.
Many operators prefer to default this to 23:59, as laycans are conventionally understood to expire at the end of the stated date — not at midnight. Requiring traders to manually enter 23:59 every time they create a cargo is tedious and prone to error.
This behaviour can be changed globally through a single configuration flag.
The configuration flag ( CFGLaycanDurationInclusive) needs to be disabled, i.e. turn its status to N.
Once this is done, then the "Laycan to“ field will default to 23:59 for new cargoes.
Steps
-
Navigate to Module Center → Configuration Flags.
-
Search for the flag: CFGLaycanDurationInclusive.
-
Change the flag's status to N (disabled).
-
Save the change.
-
Create a new cargo to verify that the Laycan To field now defaults to 23:59.
Note: This change applies to new cargoes only. Existing cargo records are not retroactively updated.
Additional Notes
-
This is a global configuration change and will affect all users creating cargoes in the environment.
-
If you need this behaviour to apply only in specific scenarios (e.g., certain cargo types), that granularity is not supported via this flag — it applies system-wide.
-
If the flag is not visible in your configuration panel, contact your system administrator or Veson Support to confirm your user permissions.
