Why is my IMOS list exporting as an empty Excel file, even though the list isn't empty?

If you're trying to export an IMOS list to Excel and the resulting file appears empty—even though the list in IMOS shows data—this is typically due to empty or improperly set filters in your list.

Common Cause

This issue usually occurs when:

  • There are one or more filters applied to the list that do not have any values set (i.e., blank filters).

  • These empty filters unintentionally exclude all data during export, even though data is visible in the list view within IMOS.

Solution

To fix this:

  1. Check your filters: Review all active filters in your list.

  2. Remove or update empty filters:

    • Either delete any filter fields that have no value set.

    • Or populate them with appropriate values to ensure they return the intended results.

Once you’ve cleaned up or correctly configured the filters, try exporting the list again. The Excel file should now include the expected data.
